Cabinets-furniture legs

I really like the look of furniture legs on cabinets (there might be a specific term for this but I have no idea what that would be!) and if the price is right I think I will add some.

So first off what shape would you do. I think I will go with a round spindally look similar to some of these. . .

But I also really like the square look on this island but I don't know how well it would work flanking the oven.

Then do I add them just for looks or do I pay the extra money and make them functional? I think these are pretty sweet!

Honestly I have to figure out how much it will all cost but I think it adds a lot to a kitchen. What do you think?

  1. I love how in the last picture, the columns are functional! I also think something like that would add value to your home. As a buyer, I would totally be willing to pay a little more for cool storage in my kitchen like that!

  2. Love the look of the columns (especially on the island) I would totally make it functionable if price was right. The more storage/less wasted space is great.

  3. The columns are awesome, especially if functionable. However, I think legs would be a pain to clean under. At least in my opinion! Maybe only on the island? You need to post your plans!

  4. I never thought about the cleaning around a leg issue. I still think they are very cute and add a lot. And I love the color in that first picture.
